PBBG’s, short for Persistent Browser Based Games, are online game worlds that can be played entirely within a standard browser. So there is nothing to download and you can play from any computer at any time. They offer a constant evolution of play by having your characters rank up over time, etc. There are tons of genres to choose from ranging from medieval battles, to building your own civilization. Or my personal favourites, the vampire based worlds where werewolves, slayers, and vamps battle it out for control of a dark realm. There are even Space based and martial arts PBBG’s so there is something for ever gamer out there. And a lot of these games have a great community with lots of opportunity for forum style rpging for those who like to add a creative flare to their gaming. This is especially appealing to gamers like myself, who prefer total control over their characters bio and want to do more than just push a button to role virtual dice.
