Why Live Action RolePlaying game getting popular?

The Live action roleplaying game started becoming popular in America in the seventies and gained international popularity in the eighties. In live action roleplaying games people dress up in the way the characters they are playing. Any story can be adapted for live action role playing. The venue of a live action role playing can be a house, a hall or even an open field. Today there are a number of LARP forums and anyone who is interested can join a LARP forum. A plot or story is adapted for live action role playing and all the actors and actresses are assigned roles. Props are arranged to create the sets and suitable outfits are also arranged. Some live action role playing sessions can last for hours and some can go on for weeks. LARP are conducted to reenact a story and there are no audiences. If a bystander happens to wander in when a LARP is on, he or she is ignored by the actors. There are a lot of arrangements that are required to be done to put up a LARP and it’s not only the actors and actresses that get involved. Normally a person takes charge of making all the arrangements for a live action role play performance. It gives people a chance to try out their acting skills and is generally a lot of fun.

Sugar Daddy?

Fans are outraged that Michael Jackson has been accused of having a sugar daddy that takes care of his needs. It began when Michael Jackson befriended Sheikh Abdulla who is also one of the King of Bahrain’s sons. The over enthusiastic prince was clearly star struck and showered monetary gifts on Michael as well as took the trouble to construct a new recording studio in Bahrain that he hoped will be where Michael records his new album, should there be any. The royal fan also co-wrote some songs but it was not known if Michael himself liked the songs or if they are going to debut in the album. But whatever it was, apparently no written agreements existed between them and the Sheikh was furious to the point of suing Michael in court. There was another out of court settlement and they are now on neutral terms.

Fans need not be concerned because clearly, Michael Jackson is a “King” in his own right and does not need princely treatment in order to survive. He will be holding a series of concerts that will net him MILLIONS of pounds from concert tickets sales. Michael Jackson O2 Arena concert tickets are hot stuff so be sure to peek in at Seatwave to see if you can get some pronto!

Tickets For All

In contrast to what the title of this article may suggest, when it comes to getting tickets for the Reading Festival this year, there certainly are not enough tickets to go around. Whilst millions of people do attend the festival, most of those people were lucky enough to get their hands on tickets through the ticket retailer Seat Wave. Again, this is harder than it sounds, but not completely impossible. Furthermore, if you are truly in need to Festival tickets, there is no harm in trying over and over again in order to get a set of tickets. But, instead of doing this, let me give you a little bit of advice.

Firstly, if you are currently trying to get tickets for yourself - you are trying in vain. The initial release of tickets was exhausted after just 48 hours of being put on sale. So clearly, there are none left for sale at the moment. However, before you go and get a chocolate bar to comfort you due to this bad news, let me tell you that there will be another ticket launch in spring this year, in the lead up to the August festival start date. So, if you don’t have a ticket just yet - you do still have a chance that you will be able to get one in due course.

RPG Convention Ideas

I know that a lot of the RPG enthusiasts who read my blog often attend the events and conventions dedicated to the game. So this post is for you. I want to discuss some of the various costumes out there that can make your RPG event experience that little more real. I am talking in particular about World of Warcraft costumes and even more specifically, the World of Warcraft Mask. Now, as I am sure you will all know, masks and costumes in the style of video game characters is nothing new, but what struck me about these new type of masks are how realistic they are. Well, not realistic as they’re fictional characters, but they certainly carry a 100% resemblance to the game characters. Bottom line is, if you’re attened an event or a World of Warcraft convention. You need to get yourself one of these. You will be the life of the party and I guarantee that your gaming peers will be seriously jealous when you turn up to re-enact a battle in one of these.

For the other WoW fans out there, don’t worry, I have something for you also. Have a look at the excellent video below :-

A Break From RPG

As all of my readers know, I am a huge RPG fan. For me, role playing games are what games should be about. They’re games you need to thing about and games that you can really get involved in due to the amount of interaction required by other parties. But what about other games? What about the classics we used to play before role playing games became popular? I know for me personally, some of my most favourite gaming moments have come whilst playing some of the great classic games. The sort of games that you know are terrible but the gameplay is just so addictive that it makes you want to play them again and again!

If you’re like me and fancy having a go at the old games again, just look around the free online arcade sites out there. They all offer free games to play via your browser and some of the better sites have a genre / category that is solely dedicated to the classics. These fun games are extremely addictive so be warned. You might need to allocate a full afternoon to get through some of your old favourites. I know I certainly did!

PBBG’s, short for Persistent Browser Based Games, are online game worlds that can be played entirely within a standard browser. So there is nothing to download and you can play from any computer at any time. They offer a constant evolution of play by having your characters rank up over time, etc. There are tons of genres to choose from ranging from medieval battles, to building your own civilization. Or my personal favourites, the vampire based worlds where werewolves, slayers, and vamps battle it out for control of a dark realm. There are even Space based and martial arts PBBG’s so there is something for ever gamer out there. And a lot of these games have a great community with lots of opportunity for forum style rpging for those who like to add a creative flare to their gaming. This is especially appealing to gamers like myself, who prefer total control over their characters bio and want to do more than just push a button to role virtual dice. But not to worry for those who creatively challenged types, PBBG’s offer tons of fun and exciting game play for the non-rpg type of gamers to.
